Students are encouraged to take on leadership responsibilities through the many student committees that are available. The committees are formed at the start of each year and all three year levels of students are invited to apply for positions. Some examples of committees that have been active are:

- Impact Committee
- Maori and Pasifika Council
- Politics Committee
- SAGA Committee
- Sports Committee
- Technical Event Management Team
- Yearbook Committee
