Hello, I’m Simon and I am very happy to be one of the teachers, working alongside great wonderful learners and great staff here at Albany Senior High School. I teach Economics, Business and Accounting and also really enjoy connecting with my tutor group, TMRY.
I have a couple of leadership roles in the school. I am an Impact Project Leader. I fervently believe that Impact Projects are the greatest opportunity that our young people will receive in any educational environment. One day a week to develop your passion; to create, build, change or organise something that will benefit the world in which we live. It is true 21st century learning. I’m especially animated when looking at how we can you Design Thinking, Circular Design and Agile to empower students’ learning.
I also lead the Business department, which means it is my responsibility to ensure that our young people are provided with learning in Economics, Accounting or Business Studies that meets their learning needs now and also is relevant and sets them up for their future.
I’m a husband and father to two young boys. Which takes up most of my spare time but I enjoy playing football, gym work, snowboarding and fishing (when the wife lets me).
