A correction and a heads up!
Kia ora e te whānau,
Firstly, if you no longer have a young person at ASHS and therefore no longer wish to receive these updates, you can unsubscribe by hitting the link at the bottom of this newsletter! We don’t automatically remove all subscribers at the beginning of each year as many have signed up through the website. We apologise if this has caused you any inconvenience!
Correction regarding absences texts!
I mentioned in the last newsletter that you will receive a text if your young person is absent. This is no longer the case. You will however receive an automated weekly summary of their attendance each Saturday. Please check these carefully and follow up any red boxes that signal either an ‘unexplained’ or ‘unjustified’ absence. As part of our ‘Acing attendance at ASHS strategy’ there are clear consequences for any students with repeated unexplained or unjustified absences. It is important that our young people are in class on time, all of the time!

ASHS Whānau Food Truck Evening – save the date!
This year we see the return of the ASHS Whānau Foodtruck Evening. This is an informal gathering for students, staff and whānau to come together for conversations and kai. We would love to see you there!
