School Strike for Climate NZ

Kia ora whānau,

Students at Albany Senior High School have expressed their interest in being involved in the School Strike for Climate Action planned for this Friday 9th April 2021.

The school acknowledges that this is an important issue and has agreed that this type of social action is a genuine tool for our young people to express their support of an issue they feel strongly about.

If your youmg person is intending to participate in the event on Friday you will need to follow normal school absence processes and give your permission; including the time leaving and returning to school and confirmation of the reason for absence.

Please note: this is not a school trip therefore parents who give their young people permission to attend this event need to be sure that they are personally satisfied by arrangements for transport, security and personal safety.
