Kia ora e te whānau,
As you know tomorrow (Tuesday 15th March) is a pre-planned ‘Learning from Home’ day. However, this week we are experiencing a spike in staff absences due to being a COVID-19 case or a household contact. We are now at a point where keeping the school open is unsustainable. To this end, we are moving to ‘Learning from Home’ until the end of the week. We will then review this at the end of the week. We very much hope we will be able to reopen next week.
Learning from home – Week Seven, Term One 2022
As a school that has robust online teaching and learning practices and has demonstrated the ability to facilitate effective teaching and learning from home, we are in a position to move to remote teaching and learning as needed.
Please note, as this is a short period of learning from home, teachers will be holding Google Meetings for each class throughout the week.
Important notes:
- Tuesday ‘Learning from Home’ day will proceed as planned.
- Teachers will be online for classes Wed-Friday (due to it being a short stint at home).
- Students will be expected to be online for Google Meetings Wednesday-Friday this week.
- Note the timetable below – particularly times for Wednesday to Friday.
Thanks all. Sorry for the short notice. Please know that we do not make these decisions lightly and we will endeavour to resume onsite learning as soon as we can.
