The health and wellbeing of our young people, staff and community is a top priority. You may have heard there’s a confirmed COVID-19 case in our school.
What we’re doing
- We are working as quickly as possible to identify any Close Contacts of the confirmed case.
- We will directly contact all close contacts ASAP and will give the community an update later today.
- We will remain open at this stage but we may need move to distance learning in the coming days.
What you need to do
- If your young person is feeling anxious or unwell they should remain at home.
- As always, please do contact us ASAP if your young person receives a positive test result.
- Remember we are already set up for our young people to continue learning from home! The can simply head to their Google Classroom.
Please email absences@ashs.school.nz if your young person is remaining at home.
In the meantime, please continue to follow good hand-washing and hygiene practices
- Wash often with soap for 20 seconds and dry your hands completely.
- Wash your hands if you have been in a public place or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your face if your hands are not clean.
- Cough or sneeze into your elbow or cover your mouth with tissues.
- Keep your mask on!
