About Me

As a(n art and design) teacher I have the opportunity to work with our young people as they develop their capacity to question, create and make manifest, within a school that encourages critical thinking and allied skills. My teaching career spans 18 years in Auckland. I have lived in Israel and NZ, have one wonderful daughter and am passionate about understanding the world through art/making & being present.

About Me

I have worked as a commercial photographer for most of my career. I completed a Master of Visual Arts Degree at Sydney College of the Arts, New South Wales (2006) and a Bachelor of Fine Arts at Elam School of Fine Arts, University of Auckland (1999). I have been the recipient of several grants and awards and have been selected for numerous major exhibitions locally and Internationally. My work has been featured in various photographic compendiums. I am still an active photographer, exhibiting at the gallery Two Rooms in Auckland and further afield in public galleries. I also use my photography to help others. Because of my ongoing personal photographic practice, I am able to help young people better.

About Me

I am a visual art teacher, and I especially love to paint and teach painting. I encourage students to play with materials and techniques, to try new things, to take risks within their art, and to be excited by unintended results.
