How do I find out if I am in the home zone for Albany Senior High School?
Do you accept out of zone enrolments?
The decision to accept out of zone enrolments is made in Term 3 of each year for the following year’s enrolments. Please see the Out of Zone Enrolment section for more information.
If I am attending Albany Junior High School do I automatically have a right of entry to Albany Senior High School?
If you live in our home zone yes you do have a right of entry but you do still have to enrol. The link for the enrolment form is below and you will also need to download the Year 11 Course Selection Form. If you do not live in our home zone you do not have an automatic right of entry and will need to apply as an out of zone enrolment. Please contact the school to discuss your enrolment.
What is the enrolment process?
Once you have completed the on line enrolment form just contact the school on (09) 451 9065 for an interview time. You do NOT need a log in to complete an enrolment form. At the interview you will be able to discuss your enrolment with one of the Senior Leadership Team, a curriculum leader or a team leader. You will also need to download a 2019 course selection form for either Year 11, Year 12 or Year 13 as applicable. During term time, enrolment interviews for the current year are carried out on Mondays or Wednesdays to allow new students to start at Albany Senior High School during Tutorial time on Tuesday or Thursday.
When do enrolments for 2020 open?
We will start accepting enrolments for 2020 at the beginning of term 3, 2019.
What documentation will I need to bring with me to the interview?
You will need:
- The completed Course selection Form
- Original Birth Certificate (if born in New Zealand) or Passport
- Latest school report
- 2 forms of proof of address (2 utility letters, bank statements etc)
- Official NZQA transcript of your previous results if you are applying for Year 12 or Year 13.
